Our guides all live and raise families in Ennis, Montana. We're full time guides. It's not just some summer job for us. We fish and guide year round. We take it seriously and understand that for most clients, you've already invested so much into travel, lodging, logistics...all to fish the Madison. We don't take that burden lightly and we want to make damn sure you have a good time. Unlike a lot of big fly shops in major metropolitan areas who have multiple permits for multiple rivers and lakes, we have one permit for one river. The best river. We fish the Upper Madison exclusively. Because of that, we feel we have an unparalleled and intimate knowledge of this river that is unmatched by big box outfitters. To reliably find success as a guide requires constant knowledge of what bugs are hatching, what flows are doing, etc. This is only attainable by fishing a river day in and day out.
